Maarore Studios to Re-brand Nollywood
Nov 2nd, 2009 | By admin | Category: Entertainment NewsAn American based film company Maarore Studios, is set to rebrand the Nigerian film industry to meet global standards by making all Nigeria Made films in Hollywood style.
This hint was dropped in Abuja by founder of Maarore Studios, Olamide Maarore Afolabi, who noted that his vision is make movies that will serve as tools for promoting national identity and pride, to display our achievements and promoting our culture throughout the world.
“Our movies will enhance Nigeria’s image worldwide, both Nollywood and Hollywood have failed to present Nigerians as intelligent and civilized people, but we will make Nigerians and it’s film industry have a new and respectable image in eyes of the world.” Afolabi said.
According to him, there is an auditioning being planned where Nigerians are encouraged to participate, especially the young people. The auditioning which will take place in five places in Nigeria is mainly for students in the higher institutions studying Theater Arts.

Go Maarore Studios. I agree that the Nigerian image needs a new face, these Nollywood films are an embarrassment to all Nigerians. People just do it for the money… We support you Maarore Studios. Where is the Audition, does anyone know?
